Jake's birthday

Jake turned the big 33! We had a little party with his friends and ate way too much cake and ice cream. We had a very competetive volleyball tournament where I think the kids won. In case you all didn't know, I have the best husband in the world! I know it is cheesy, but there is no one better out there.

I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit with one of my old roommates from Ricks. She was in Florida visiting her brother so we met in the middle and our kids had a chance to meet each other and play. Andrea is a great person who I am so glad I have been able to stay in touch. We met at a historical park and the kids had a great time playing in all the old houses with all the old farm equipment. This was an old school house where they all tried to be the teacher.

This last picture was fun because when we were at Ricks we had the same car, color and all. When I pulled up in the van we discovered we had the same van, color and all. Hers was just in Indiana so we had to take a picture like the one below with our twin cars.
This was us 13 years ago!

Grandma's and Disney

My mom and grandma came to visit and it was wonderful! They helped out so much so that Jake and I could repaint the rooms in our house. It is amazing how much Jake and I can get done with no kids running under our feet! We did fit some time in to play! We had wonderful weather and enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Birthday's came a little early for the kids with grandmas here!

Happy Birthday......

....Dr Suess! To celebrate his birthday Jake made green eggs and sausage (it's still a pork product!) We read the book and ate breakfast of green eggs. They looked pretty nasty, but still tasted like eggs. After reading and loving the book, Logan didn't even try the green eggs and ham. He must not have learned from Sam-I-am .

Hide and go seek

One of our favorite games is hide and go seek. We have been playing in the dark which makes many more hiding spots. This particular time we couldn't find Jake and were looking and looking and lo and behold, I look up and there he is in the ceiling shelf. Very impressive since there were no chairs around the wall and I couldn't figure how he got up there. He finally told me his secret of climbing up the kitchen cabinets over the ledge, and 'jumping' over the entryway to get up there. All in the time it took us to count to 20! Who says I don't have a talented husband?! Now I don't have to dust up there ;)

Mardi Gras

Universal has Mardi Gras celebration the next few months. They have a great parade where they throw out tons of beads. The kids love it and Brielle wears as many as she can as much as she can! It was freezing that night and the kids were good sports. Heart also played that night and it was amazing how well the sister can sing. She has some pipes on her!

Wearing the mask and beads in true mardi gras spirit. I guess i need to introduce them to a king cake....yum!~

Jake and I ran a 5K and Raegan got to run in the kids run. Here are the kids waiting for Raegan's race to start.
Here is her ribbon and bracelot. She did a great job!

Can you see her peaking her head through.....

We finished our in 24 minutes, 18 seconds. Amy is proud to say she kept up with Jake right to the finish line. We crossed at the same time!!!

Here are some friends from the YMCA that ran with us.

Tubing

Christmas post

Yes, I am finally getting around to posting Christmas pictures. We had a great time in Utah freezing our buns off but worth every minute to play in snow and see our family! We miss them already!!! This is what Brielle thought of coming back to Florida without her grandmas....

Tubing in Park City
Some good food after lots of tubing

Raegan wrote this on the white board by herself. I thought it was really sweet!

4-wheeling and sledding in the white stuff.

Morgan and Brittany's dog had puppies and they were so cute. They were definetly the highlight of the kids Christmas. Raegan still asks if we can have one.

Singing Logan

Couldn't you just eat him up he is so cute!

More Christmas

Going to church....I had to bribe Brielle with treats to get her to stand still by Raegan. All she wants to do whenever I get the camera out is look in the screen. Whatever works!
The other day I had to try and make some sort of desserts for the church party coming up. I was in charge of it and so I wanted to do a fun dessert. I bought some cute little tree molds to make this great chocolate bunt cake but when I made the trees and put them on the plate they were so small that even when I added ice cream they were even smaller. Anyways, it was the same night our home teachers were coming over so I told Raegan I would just give them the trees to eat so I would stop eating them and she came up with this elaborate scheme to be a waitress and got her apron out with a pad of paper, put straws in her pockets and practiced for hours what her opening lines would be. She even called Grandma and practiced with her. Well, the minute the home teachers walked in the door Raegan's mouth stopped working and she clammed right up. Poor girl. Oh well. I guess it is okay she is a nervous around men she doesn't know well.

Christmas time!!!

Sea World has the polar express. It was a fun thing the kids liked. You watch a little of the movie and then think you are at the North Pole. Brielle didn't love Santa but the other two had a great time telling him all the things they wanted.
Posing with the Pritchetts

We had a Christmas party with some friends and read the "Gingerbread Girl". Logan absolutely loves that book. He can quote it. So we made gingerbread girls out of sugar cookies. They like using licorice for the hair. By the time we were done they were so full of candy they didn't eat their cookies.

We also made reindeer from their hands and feet.

Jake and I dressed up for our annual Navy dinner. It is an annual banquet we go to each year at the very posh Peabody Hotel where everyone dresses to the nines in their military uniforms and other attire. Great fun and wonderful entertainment, we look forward to it each year.
