Cute little Logan

Also, he wore his first tie to church. However, it was way too short. It was a 6-18 month. I just found it and it looked better in person, but he liked wearing it so he could be like dad. He was really cute.

Logan went to his first birthday party this week of someone his own age. He is always going to Raegan's friends. He had a lot of fun at this one. He has been singing Happy Birthday Joseph all week!

Grandma, Cam and Raegan

Cam, Carson and Raegan
Riding the Ferris Wheel---they were no fear. They rode any ride the workers would let them on. Talk about no fear!

Raegan found her favorite friend when we were in Utah. Cam is my cousin Emily's son. They are the same age, just a few weeks apart. They had the best time together. They just hit it off. They couldn't get enough of each other. They had to play all day and beg to spend the night together. Unfortunately they found each other the day before we came home. Cam is saving his money to come out and visit us. We hope to see them soon!

Twinkle Twinkle Wittle Star

Logan goes around the house singing and I think it is so cute and comical that I have to share it with grandparents and blogging is the easiest way to send it. I hope the rest of you will indulge our really cute happy son!

I think this is some version of "I am a child of God" although I am not sure I have heard the part of "and so my needs are grapes?"

It's offical!!!

Well, we are on the market to sell our house! We don't know where we are going, but we know we are ready to move closer to Jake's work and church. It will probably take us a while since there are many foreclosures around here. Oh well, you can't sell it if it isn't on the market. Any advice from any sellers/buyers would be appreciated. I know we need to change the pictures, but they are the best we have right now.
Check us out!

Church

Just the cutest kids at church. Raegan loves to look like Brielle and I like dressing them the same. Raegan can't stop posing for the camera and Logan has to be begged to smile. I think it is cute! Logan thankfully has been good in Sacrament the last few weeks. No running around or being loud. I am thankful he hasn't tried to run up and sit on the stand with Jake. I thought he would have tried that by now, I guess it helps to sit in the back. Too far for him to run. It is going to be interestin though the next few months because Brielle is awake during the meeting now and so I really have my hands full. Luckily I have some good friends that sit by us to help me wrestle them. If I go inactive though, you will all know why ;)

For the grandparents

Brielle does lots of funny stuff with her mouth now......it just cracks me up. She is so dang cute I just don't know what to do with her. She is growing so fast. I look at baby pictures and am already forgetting she was that little (and that bruised).

3 little fish

My parents sent my kids a cool gift a while ago. They got a fun book "3 little fish". It is like the 3 little pigs but about fish and a shark. It is a really cute book. Anyways, they tape recorded them reading it. My dad plays the shark. My kids love listening to them read it. Logan can even follow along (A bell rings when it is time to turn the page). Thanks for a great present. They listen to it at least two times in a row, so it gives me 10 minutes to get something done. Plus my kids just like to hear their voices.

Splash Park

We went to the splash park today. It was great because all the big kids were in school so there weren't many people there and we had the run of the place. The kids got cold after a while because I think Ike was starting to blow through. The kids had fun making up dances.

Yummy Yummy to my tummy Cheesecake!

I made a wonderful cheesecake today for a friend. (She only gets a few pieces :)) I am not a good cheesecake maker, but this one is wonderful! I took a picture after trying a piece. I couldn't quite figure out the drizzle carmel and chocolate idea, more like plop it on the top, but it still was really good! It should have pecans sprinkled on top. Yummy Yummy!!

Decadent Turtle Cheesecake
Ingredients: 2-1/2cups crushed chocolate cookies or vanilla wafers
1/4cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened

"I am really cute"

We took some pictures because Raegan told me she looked really cute. The song "You're so vain" was definetly written about Raegan. She did look really cute so we had a little photo shoot. It worked out well because we needed lots of pictures for a book she is making about herself for school. Who knew preschool would have so much homework.

Dodge Ball

Jake taught the kids how to play dodge ball. Logan loved watching Raegan get hit. His laugh was so funny. Of course by the time I got it on video, he was worn out.

Unexpected blessing

This weekend was a good weekend. It started off badly but ended up being a blessing in disguise. Jake went to a friend's house on Friday to get some tools to fix our room. (It is finally back together, just in time for Hurricane Hanna). While he was there he smelled antifreeze and they opened the hood to find a cracked radiator. Lucky us- the brilliant Nissan engineers have been able to design that car to have things go wrong precisely as soon as it hit 100K miles (starter, alternator, & radiator all in the past 5,ooo miles)! Well, our friend lent us his a car because he just bought a new car. Jake went back the next morning with a new radiator to put in the car. On the way there, our friend called and said, "why don't you just keep the car I lent you. I don't have time to clean it up and sell it." It has a few minor problems- rear passenger window doesn't roll down and the passenger seat doesn't move, but the engine is in great shape. It is a SUV so that is a bigger car for us to fit our 3 car seats. We were going to have to sell the Maxima and get a new van in a month or two when Brielle grows out of her baby car seat. This way we can fit the 3 car seats and not buy a van until this car dies in a year or two. Now we can save more money for a down payment on a van. This is a great blessing for us. Had the radiator not cracked in the Maxima we never would have gotten this car. The Lord works in mysterious ways. What could have been a trial turned out to be a great blessing. So we spent our Labor Day cleaning out both cars so we can sell the Maxima. Raegan was a great help in vacuuming and cleaning. We had a ton of crap accumulated in the Maxima that now needs to be transferred to the Land Rover. Thanks Jerry!
