Unexpected blessing

This weekend was a good weekend. It started off badly but ended up being a blessing in disguise. Jake went to a friend's house on Friday to get some tools to fix our room. (It is finally back together, just in time for Hurricane Hanna). While he was there he smelled antifreeze and they opened the hood to find a cracked radiator. Lucky us- the brilliant Nissan engineers have been able to design that car to have things go wrong precisely as soon as it hit 100K miles (starter, alternator, & radiator all in the past 5,ooo miles)! Well, our friend lent us his a car because he just bought a new car. Jake went back the next morning with a new radiator to put in the car. On the way there, our friend called and said, "why don't you just keep the car I lent you. I don't have time to clean it up and sell it." It has a few minor problems- rear passenger window doesn't roll down and the passenger seat doesn't move, but the engine is in great shape. It is a SUV so that is a bigger car for us to fit our 3 car seats. We were going to have to sell the Maxima and get a new van in a month or two when Brielle grows out of her baby car seat. This way we can fit the 3 car seats and not buy a van until this car dies in a year or two. Now we can save more money for a down payment on a van. This is a great blessing for us. Had the radiator not cracked in the Maxima we never would have gotten this car. The Lord works in mysterious ways. What could have been a trial turned out to be a great blessing. So we spent our Labor Day cleaning out both cars so we can sell the Maxima. Raegan was a great help in vacuuming and cleaning. We had a ton of crap accumulated in the Maxima that now needs to be transferred to the Land Rover. Thanks Jerry!
